PasarBella is a Farmers’ Market in Bukit Timah. Step inside and you may forget that you are in Singapore. From seafood paella to japanese sushi, from a nail parlour to a balloon store, from organic produce to Seventh Heaven ice cream, PasarBella has it all. And if that’s not enough, there are the other shops in The Grandstand, such as Omakase Burger (closed when I visited yesterday), Dio Burger (blogged about it), Twelve Cupcakes, Giant hypermart, and lots more!
The name, “PasarBella”, is derived from a local term for ‘market’ and the Italian word for ‘beautiful’. I love the layout, the decor, and even the restroom (there’s lovely furniture, an air-conditioned rest area with armchairs, and a very pretty diaper station!) No wonder this place is ‘PasarBella’ – beautiful market.
I would recommend visiting PasarBella on a non-public holiday weekday, so you can get a table easily, sample all the ice cream flavors if you want to, and generally, have a leisurely tour of the place.
