An ex-colleague introduced me to Jang Won Korea BBQ restaurant many years ago. I’m happy the restaurant is still operating today! 🙂 I had lunch there today and the total bill for 2 came up to only RM75 (S$29)!
We picked the set meal for 2 – which included 2 servings of meat (pork belly and beef), kimchi soup, steamed egg, rice, and 13 side dishes as appetizers. 😀
The fiance and I always leave this restaurant stuffed. I love the variety, the cleanliness, and the taste of the food (even better than what I had in Korea).
If you pop by between 12noon to 4pm, you’ll even get 10% discount off your meal, which offsets the tax.
There’s usually ice cream as well, but strangely enough, it was not available today.
The service standard here is exceptional – we did not even have to lift a finger to barbecue the meat. One of their staff cooked the meat for us, and even cut it up into bite-sized pieces!
We were also given a full flask of iced tea (probably oolong tea) so we did not even have to order drinks though beer would have gone down really well with the BBQ meat. 😀
The washroom at the back of the restaurant is also clean, and there is a small play area for children, so families with kids will enjoy coming by this restaurant. Did I mention there is also free ice cream? 😉
If you’d like to pop by, Jang Won is located next to The Zon (very near the Iskandar Checkpoint, if you head to JB via Woodlands). The restaurant is on the 2nd floor of the building just across a small road from The Zon, and is visible from the main road leading to The Zon.
