Watsons and LASALLE Collaborate for a Great Cause with Gorgeous Tissue Sets

Watsons LASALLE tissue sets

These gorgeous tissue sets are from a Watsons – LASALLE College of the Arts collaboration. You can get these limited edition items from Watsons stores for between S$2.00 and S$4.50. They are so pretty! And the best part is that the sale of these items go toward helping Star Shelter’s women and children who are victims of domestic violence and homeless due to family crises.

Funds raised will help further programs such as art therapy and counselling sessions at Star Shelter and enable women and children to rebuild confidence and regain their footing in society.

Watsons will also be opening up job opportunities at their stores for these ladies, and providing service training and grooming sessions that will ready them for a fresh start in the beauty industry.

These tissue sets are based on the theme of ‘Colours of Hope’ and the message of spreading hope through the release of balloons, musical notes and paper cranes in a kaleidoscope of colours.

Spread some cheer to your loved ones with these beautifully-designed tissue sets, and know that you’re making a difference to the lives of the women and children in Star Shelter too. 🙂

Watsons Limited Edition Tissue Products & Beauty Products Giveaway

[Giveaway at the end of this blogpost! :D]

I attended the Watsons Beauty Day Out last month, and amid the array of beauty products being launched, what really caught my eye had to be the cheerful, amateurish artwork on the Watsons Tissue Boxes:

Watsons box tissues

[Illustrations by children from Chen Su Lan Methodist Children’s Home]

Watsons aims to raise S$20,000 for their official charity of the year, Chen Su Lan Methodist Children’s Home, via the sale of these limited edition “I Believe In Magic”-themed box tissues, mini hankies and travel packs which feature 9 colorful illustrations done by children from the home!

Available at all Watsons stores from Nov 2013 to Feb 2014, the box tissue packs retail at S$4.50, mini hankies and travel packs at $2 each. Watsons will donate 10% of the proceeds to Chen Su Lan Methodist Children’s Home, which cares for the well-being of needy and disadvantaged children.

Where Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) is concerned, I applaud Watsons’ efforts! Via the press release sent to me, I got to know about Watsons’ past collaborations with non-profit organizations such as:

1) Breast Cancer Foundation (BCF) in 2010 and 2011: Watsons raised $80,000 and S$100,000 for the Foundation in 2010 and 2011 respectively via the Watsons’ Pink Shelves Program, selling of BCF pink ribbon pins and placement of donation boxes.

2) AG Home, “a shelter for troubled teenagers”. Watsons raised funds for the Home via donation boxes, and also employed some of the female residents as Christmas helpers to wrap presents during the festive period.

~

Delivered to me were the box tissues and some beauty goodies (thank you, Watsons!) and I’m going to share some of the love with you!

Giveaway: My Beauty Diary’s Red Wine & Royal Jelly Masks

At the moment, I use only masks from 2 brands: SK-II and My Beauty Diary. I use SK-II masks just before special occasions when a splurge is deemed necessary (SK-II masks don’t come cheap!). My Beauty Diary masks are really for everyday use as they are much more affordable, yet highly effective.

I was given their new masks to try, and I think you should try them too! 🙂

My Beauty Diary Red Wine Royal Jelly Mask

They include a new ingredient called Cosphingo which has hydrating properties. The Royal Jelly mask is great for refining and revitalizing your skin while the Red Wine mask has moisturizing and brightening effects.

If you ask me, I’d say the red wine mask smells more yummy though both are equally effective at leaving my skin feeling moisturized. I’ve been using My Beauty Diary masks for years and I have never found a good enough reason to switch to any other brand for masks for daily use.

If you’d like to try the Red Wine or Royal Jelly mask, here’s how you can win one piece to try:

1) ‘Like’ My Beauty Diary SG’s Facebook Page HERE

2) Comment on this blogpost with your name, email address, and choice of mask (Red Wine OR Royal Jelly) by 14th September, 2013, 23:59hrs.

~ Good Luck! ~

My Beauty Diary masks are available at Guardian, Sasa and Watsons at $16.90 for a box of 10.

My Beauty Diary is also sponsoring Running Man’s fan meet in Singapore on 19th October. Excited? Stalk MBD SG’s Facebook page! Haha!

~ Update ~

Here are the winners… CONGRATS!

Red Wine Mask: Janice Lee, Abigail
Royal Jelly: Chan Zi Jia, Koh Hui Ying
Thanks for participating, everyone! 😀
