Fart Tartz @ JCube: Good Food With No GST Nor SC

We’ve been to Fart Tartz before, and today we popped by their outlet at JCube. JCube’s not on the side of the MRT Station where all the other malls linked by the JWalk are. It’s on its own on the other side, and frankly, it’s pretty deserted on a weekday. Not that we are complaining. 😀 Book via Eatigo for 50% off most timeslots. They have a sign to say that everything is below $9 but I really have no idea what they could possibly be referring to. Many items on the menu are above 10 bucks.

Here’s the menu. The 50% Eatigo discount applies to items on pages 2 and 3:

And the cafe offers 1-for-1 drinks at the moment:

We had Earl Grey Blue Flower and Well Balance (Chamomile) tea:

My Sambal Sea Catch ($8.45 after discount) was SO fragrant. And the linguine is really good. I dislike pasta cooked al dente but I don’t like if it’s too soft either. Today’s linguine was PERFECT. The seafood was good for sharing but they gave just ONE scallop. Eh, why like that? The dish could do with more chili padi as well, ‘cos we are such fans of its spiciness. But overall, a very good dish. I had a choice of having it served in a jar or on a plate. Plate lah. I’m not one of those millennials who needs everything instagrammable. (@_@)

Darling ordered the Mangoeey Chix Baked Rice ($6.95 after discount) and it REALLY does come with mango cubes within! Consider me impressed! This dish features skinless chicken, fresh mango cubes, mango cream sauce and rice with cheese. The first few bites are really good, but it can get jelat after a while, ya? So you might want to do a swop with your dining partner who’s eating the spicy sambal pasta. 😀

It’s really worth dining here with the 50% discount via Eatigo. The place is relatively quiet, the lady at the cashier counter very friendly and the decor lends itself to being photographed.

I would dine here again… if I make the Journey To The West again… but hopefully not too soon. Singapore is small, but not that small.

*And today we followed the signs that said “DAISO” and were hanging overhead… and DID NOT find a Daiso outlet in Jcube. WLE. So misleading. So just ignore them when you’re here, OK?
